We are proud supporters of individuals & organizations focused on tongue-tie care. Our aim with offering Student rates is to acknowledge their need to receive the education they need at a price that is affordable. Please review the criteria and eligibility requirements below to see if you qualify for this unique registration category.

Criteria & Eligibility
  • Applies only to volunteer counsellors of non-profit peer support organizations like LLL, ABA, and AIMI that are currently not making ANY income working within the maternal-child field and current full time students of an accredited post-secondary institution.
  • This option does NOT apply to IBCLC's who are also peer-to-peer breastfeeding counsellors. Any individuals who work in a professional capacity as an IBCLC, regardless of their level of income, are expected to purchase a full price registration. The Student/Volunteer Price is meant as way to help educate and reward individuals who are volunteers or students only and who do not carry out tongue-tie care work in a professional capacity.
  • This option does NOT apply to individuals currently working in a health care field or in any other field and only taking part time education.
  • This option does NOT apply to unemployed individuals who are not a full time student at an accredited post secondary institution.
  • Proof of status as a student is required at the time of registration. When prompted, please upload a copy of your letter of confirmation from a supervisor or director, or letter of acceptance of enrollment in a full time course in your field of study. Please ensure your documentation shows a date valid for the conference period.

    Human milk production is a complicated physiological process. It's important for lactation care providers to have a solid understanding of how the process works to allow for problem solving when milk production is inadequate, and the ability to translate our knowledge into explanations that parents can understand. This package is designed to expand your knowledge of milk production by diving deeper into specific topics and also looking at how to put it all together in the context of a consult. Offering 10 hours of continuing education, this add-on lecture pack is approved for 10 L-CERPs and CMEs. Nurse Contact Hours are applied for. Credits are cross recognized for those requiring ACNM CE Credits, ASHA PDHs and Dietetic CPEUs.


    Tongue-Tie 101: Fundamentals of Assessment and Breastfeeding Management Lecture Pack (6 Hours)

    A lactation care plan serves several purposes. It provides the client with reminders about what was discussed during the visit with their care provider, what steps they should be following at home and when to follow up. For the care provider, the care plan helps to document care and also serves as a means to encourage collaboration and continuity of care. In short, an effective care plan is an essential tool for lactation professionals. This package provides a focused look at common clinical situations and each presentation provides a detailed look at how to put a plan in place, when to follow up and how to adjust the care plan as things evolve. Offering 6 hours of continuing education, this add-on lecture pack is approved for 6 CERPs (5L, 1R) and CMEs. Nurse Contact Hours are applied for. Credits are cross recognized for those requiring ACNM CE Credits, ASHA PDHs and Dietetic CPEUs.


    Breastfeeding Biomechanics: The Significance of Structure and Function Lecture Pack (3 Hours)

As breastfeeding advocates we recognize that people in these countries generally have the most need for this information and limited resources, which is why in addition to our standard registration options, this year we are offering a special registration fee for residents from countries that fall in Cat.
