Biography:
Dr. Mandy Golman is the David G. Braithwaite Endowed Professor at the University of Texas at Tyler School of Nursing. She holds a PhD in Health Studies, along with credentials as a Registered Nurse, International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), and Master Certified Health Education Specialist (MCHES). Dr. Golman's research agenda centers on examining and improving access to healthcare for underserved populations, with particular focus on maternal and adolescent health. Her work addresses barriers to care in areas such as lactation and postpartum support, teen pregnancy prevention, and reproductive health in medically underserved communities. She has served as the principal investigator and/or evaluator on multiple federally funded grants totaling over $8 million and has disseminated her research nationally through publications and presentations at major conferences. An in-demand speaker, Dr. Golman's work bridges academic research, clinical practice, and community engagement to advance health equity and improve outcomes for women and families.
